Are immediate dentures right for me?

If you're in need of full dentures because you've lost your teeth due to decay, illness, or injury, you could be a perfect candidate for immediate dentures. Immediate dentures replace lost teeth right away, which means you don't have to suffer the inconvenience of not having teeth while you wait for dentures to be crafted in a lab for you.

One thing to consider, however, is that immediate dentures need to be regularly relined so they always fit just right and don’t slip or shift. Relining helps ensure a comfortable, precise fit as your mouth heals from the loss of your natural teeth and your transition to dentures.

Are partial dentures the right choice for me?

Dr. Haider offers consultations to determine if partial dentures are right for your dental needs. Partials dentures are different than full. Full dentures replace all of your natural teeth while partial dentures only replace your missing teeth.

Dr. Haider takes measurements of your jaw and makes models of your mouth so he can construct your new dentures as efficiently as possible. Partial dentures with metal frames do not need dental adhesives to stay in place. They have clasps that securely anchor to existing teeth.

Acrylic partial dentures are a less expensive option for tooth replacement; however, they're also less durable than metal ones. They're often used as transitional dentures, a short-term solution for replacing front teeth while the dentist constructs permanent bridges or partial dentures.
